Thriving During The Pandemic with Thakai

Did the pandemic hit your business hard? Were you scared because of all the changes that were happening? You are not alone— a lot of people had to adapt during the pandemic. In this episode, you’ll see how Thakai decided to change his ways and continue to thrive despite the circumstances!

Thakai, Thriving Entrepreneur

Thakai had a difficult time trying to make his company survive a pandemic. His company, specializing in security and risk management for big social events, took a hit as the event planning industry was shut down during the pandemic. Thakai had to find new ways to implement his knowledge and keep his business afloat— and that’s exactly what he did.

Here are three important lessons from Thakai’s experience:

1) Adapting to Survive

Companies faced a crucial decision when the pandemic hit; adapt or die. Some companies were not able to survive while others had the best year of their whole business as online innovation took almost every industry into a choke hold.

Thakai started his business in 2019, just one year before the pandemic hit. It was going well until the world came to a screeching halt. Thakai had accumulated a lot of knowledge from moving to a different country to get a degree and having multiple jobs. However, the greatest thing he learned was that adapting is the only way to survive. He applied his business foundation but changed his focus to a different market and it was a success.

2) Taking Massive Action

Taking massive action goes hand-in-hand with adaptation. You never know when change will be required to continue thriving. You also never know how change is going to affect your business. Thakai knew he had to change something about his business to survive, but finding the solution proved to be difficult. He turned to meditation for answers. He realized that what his business did could also apply to supermarkets because they needed more safety precautions than before.

He had offered his services to supermarkets before the actual problem began and they rejected him. A few weeks later the supermarkets closed because too many people were going; that’s when he took the courage to offer his services again— this is massive action. It’s two different things to know what to do and to actually take action. Be brave enough to take action! Don’t let anything stop you from being successful.

3) The Power of Meditation

Meditation is what brought David and Thakai together. They both have a hunger for knowledge and want to keep on learning more about the benefits of meditation. Thakai encourages people to learn more about it because when you start applying it to your daily life, you’ll see amazing changes. The best way to get started is by just doing it and being consistent.

Be the master of your emotions and control your thoughts because they control your personal reality.
