Steven runs the business his parents started more than 30 years ago. He considers himself to be more than an entrepreneur and business owner; he’s a man that loves his life because he gets to enjoy every aspect of it.

1) Generations

Every generation lives different experiences. Today’s world has much to offer the newest generations: you hear about meditation, seminars, and free materials all over social media and the internet. The generations of our grandparents knew nothing about this and some people don’t realize how blessed we are to live in this era. We have access to a lot of information and it’s really up to us to create lasting and transforming change.

Steven understands that we can have all the resources of the world, but if you don’t have the attitude, nothing is going to happen. His parents founded the business that he now has the privilege of running. Steven understands that he doesn’t have to do things the way his parents did them, thanks to new ideas and technologies that have revolutionized life.

2) Difficulties of a Family Business

Steven was not born into wealth. He saw the struggle his mom and dad had to go through in order to work towards a successful company. He learned valuable skills that comfortable kids, like his children, have a difficult time understanding.

As an entrepreneur, you want to have a successful life, not just in business and not just personally. You want them both to be successful and balanced. This is why it can be hard to want to give the best to your children, while also handing down valuable lessons that allow them to continue living a beautiful life.

3) Life Happens For You

As a teenager, Steven decided that he was not going to work in the family business. He worked sometimes after school and during his summer vacations, so he did not see it as something enjoyable. He kept that idea for a long time until he was jobless and decided to help out in the company while looking for a different occupation.

20 years later, Steven runs the company and really enjoys his job. Even though he worked in the family business, he was treated like an employee and that made him understand the inside out of the company. Life is unpredictable but it can work for you in unexpected ways. It’s funny how sometimes the things we least desire turn out to be the best things that could happen in our life.
