An Airforce Soldier Dreaming To Be A Successful Entrepreneur- The Best Business Podcast: Break Free

Parthiv Shah, Mr. Implementation and Founder of Elaunchers

All successful people are big dreamers, because they have the will to do it and the determination to make it happen. In this episode with Parthiv Shah, Founder of Elaunchers, learn about his dream and how he reached it. Listen to this episode and understand the best practices, the right values, and the mindset of experienced entrepreneurs.

Similarities in Airforce Service and Entrepreneurship

Parthiv demonstrated the similarities he noticed in his service in the Air Force and his journey as an Entrepreneur. Serving in the Air Force and being an Entrepreneur might be very different types of fields, but they have similarities regarding strategies:

  1. Know where your sky is because that's where you are going to work.

  2. Know where the runway is because it doesn’t matter how far or how high you go, it’s where you are going to come back.

  3. Know where your enemies are.

Likewise in Business:

  1. You’ve got to know where your business is, meaning what your niche is and what  the market looks like, because that is going to be the place you will perform. You’ve got to know when you are on stage and what your stage looks like.

  2. Know what your backstage looks like because that is the infrastructure that’s going to support the performance when you are on the front stage.

  3. Know your competitors. Know your enemies, internal and external.

Most entrepreneurs are focused on the offense. They need to realize that entrepreneurship is not about offense and defense— it’s more about the people. If you can retain the people who trust you and your business, they will bring you to success.

Bringing Your Dream to Reality

Nobody makes progress by sitting at the back and waiting for it to find them. Successful people go out into the world and invoke change through their actions. Starting a business is a lot of work. Anyone who tells you it's not is either lying or has never actually started one themselves. The hours are long, sacrifices are great and you are visited with new problems and challenges every day with seemingly no end. That’s one of the main reasons why not everyone can become a successful entrepreneur.

Parthiv’s dream was to become successful in business, and that dream happened because of the traits of success he has. Being a successful entrepreneur means more than starting new ventures every other day. It means the right attitude towards a business and the determination and grit to achieve success.

Making Your Business Recession Proof

Starting a business is exciting and intense. However, no matter how successful and efficient your business becomes, it’s still at the mercy of outside factors. Changing global events, turbulent markets, and trying economic times make running a successful business a challenge – and an ultimately rewarding one once the storm clears. Everyone is impacted when the economy contracts and enters a recession.

When you make your business Recession-Proof you can scale your business even during recessions. One of the factors that can make your business recession-proof is to offer services, because most of the time when a recession happens, workers are getting laid off, and then services take over, simply because they won’t have to hire people and it’s much cheaper than hiring someone. That is how successful business runs well during these times like David’s and Parthiv’s Businesses.

Conclusion

In business, it doesn’t matter how good you are if your target market doesn’t know where you are and what you do. Every business needs a right and specific strategy, a purpose to pursue their business, and to secure their business in growth. The more you focus on giving value to people, you will achieve success, and money becomes a byproduct of it.

A lot of business owners that got out of corporate jobs, leave their jobs to have freedom. Yet when they have their business they get stuck to another form of prison, being stuck to running their own business. The key to this freedom is Delegation and Trusting your employees, allowing them to have freedom, too. David spoke about how people wanted to work for him because of the freedom and the trust that he gives to his employees and how it makes his employees happy, making their clients also happy because his people can bring better results.

I won, You can too.
