Do The Things That Excite You

One of the ways you can discover things you are good at is to simply do the things that excite you. If you like to write, write. If you love to start a business, do it. There is life advice from Ruben Chaves that states, “pay attention to the things you are naturally drawn to. They are often connected to your path, passion, and purpose in life. Have the courage to follow them.” It starts with getting to know yourself and the things you are naturally drawn to, then having the courage to take that leap in your journey.

Did you know that 29% of business owners say that their biggest motivation for starting a business is that they’re ready to be their own boss? 17% were unhappy with their corporate careers, 16% want to pursue their passion, 12% say an opportunity presented itself, 9% had the inspiration for a new business, 7% weren’t ready to retire, and 7% were laid off. This shows that people start their own businesses because they want freedom and because it’s what excites them.

Choosing Freedom Over a Stressful Corporate Job

What we are looking for in life is more freedom, but being an entrepreneur is one of the hardest things you can do. If you don’t sell, you don’t eat. But becoming an entrepreneur is about more than the financials. Freedom in entrepreneurship is a life-changing event. It is the highest percentage of entrepreneurs’ motivation in starting their own businesses.

One of the privileges that entrepreneurs have is that they don’t have to work eight hours or more. They can also choose the people they want to work with. They can choose their clients and their employees. Even to change their strategy, that is what freedom looks like when you become an entrepreneur.

Creating Stability as an Entrepreneur

There are many desirable aspects of owning a business, like the independence of being your own boss, and the personal satisfaction of pursuing your passions. However, your business could be short-lived if you’re not financially stable enough to keep it running.

The answer for this is cash flow. When you are working for someone for eight hours a day, you only have one source of income. But when you have multiple clients, that’s where you establish stability because you could earn more than your corporate salary, and there are many ways to achieve financial stability as an entrepreneur

Don’t Let Fear Enslave You

The Best Business Podcast: Achieving Freedom and Fulfillment In Life

When you become stagnant and stop progressing out of fear, you are slowly binding yourself into your own prison. The problem with this is that if you stay in this fearful state for too long, it makes you weak. And so, you won’t have any strength to break free from the chains of fear. Some people become depressed because of it.

One of the best signs that you are not on your life path is to answer these questions:

1. When you wake up in the morning, do you feel a sense of dread?

2. When you wake up in the morning, do you feel fired up?

3. Are you excited about what will happen on that day?

If you have answers to these questions, never be afraid to find the courage to take the leap, and act upon it.

Overcoming the Worst In Your Entrepreneurial Journey

Every young entrepreneur will experience problems in their journey. The key to surviving this is to change your mindset and attitude towards it. Captain Jack Sparrow from the film Pirates of the Caribbean said, “the problem is not the problem, it's your attitude about the problem.” Your attitude toward the problem will affect your actions and the decisions you will make.

Enjoy the Journey. Slow Down and Appreciate the Good Things in Life.
