Is your life going a different way than the one you imagined? Are your priorities truly in the right place? Tune in to this week’s episode to learn how Alan Olsen chose to focus on the right journey.

Alan Olsen, Spiritual Businessman

Life is extremely unexpected – Alan’s journey is a great representation of that. In college, he found a position to work in IRS and got this exciting job. A few years after that, he gave away all his money to help kids have the opportunity to go to school. It sounds crazy, but that’s just how life is. Here are three key lessons you cannot miss from this episode:

1) Partners Help You Grow

After graduating from college and moving to a new city, Alan met his wife. After six months, they were officially married. Everything in life happens for a reason and all the decisions Alan took drove him to Silicon Valley. Being married can teach you a lot of skills and the most important one is communication. Learning how to take decisions is based on trust and open communication.

As a family, they decided to focus on the journey and not the money. They talked about their goals as a family, for example, having a lot of kids and knowing that Alan’s wife was not going to work because she decided to stay with the kids. The importance of a relationship is being on the same page and the only way you can do that is by communicating what you are thinking.

2) It’s Not About the Money

Alan and his wife decided to not focus on the money, and they were able to live pretty comfortably. Alan took it to the next level and decided to apply this to different businesses and they all succeeded. Some people are really doing everything they can to strive to acquire wealth but that doesn’t fulfill them and usually doesn’t last forever.

People that only focus on money are never going to be happy until they realize that once you die, the only thing that lives forever are memories and not material things. You need to understand who you are and what you value to transfer your focus from money to those values.

3) Understanding Faith

Nowadays, talking about faith can be a sensitive topic to some people because there are so many different opinions. Alan is open to different foundations but believes that what unites us all is that we believe in something. Nobody knows exactly what happens, or what is true and what is not, but being open to understanding more about other people’s foundations can create peace in the world.

Alan is open with his faith and tries to share it with people. He has his own podcast show and tries to encourage and inspire people to learn more about Christianity and have a relationship with God. Keep an open mind and listen to testimonies and stories Alan shares in this epic episode.

What if you owned everything in this world but had nobody to share it with?
