Can you succeed without a college degree? As a society, we have always considered a post-secondary education to be essential. Sean Grosy is an example of how learning from alternative routes can lead to success.

Sean Grosy, Sales Expert

Sean is not your average person… he didn’t want to go to college unless he was sure of what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Sean knew he wanted to continue his education, but he discovered there was an abundance of different ways to continue learning and improving. His desire to succeed pushed him to get a full-time job, which would lead him to becoming the sales expert that he is to this day.

“I teach Professionals & Business Owners Integrity Based Human Influence & Ecosystem Mergers to make more money and get more time freedom so they can create more magical moments in their life.”

See three lessons you can learn from Sean’s path to success:

1) You can have many passions

You don’t have to do only one thing for the rest of your life. You can have options and change them whenever you want. Everything changes and that includes us. Sean is a great example of this. He went from having a passion for airplanes to being fulfilled by sales, and there is a lot more in between.

You have to try to follow your passions; the worst thing you can do is regret not going after something and getting that valuable experience. If you have different passions, find a way to do something with them. They can be a hobby, a career, or just an activity you do once in a while. People tend to forget that their life is what they make of it. Each choice you make will determine the kind of life you live, and there are no hard and fast rules to how to live.

2) College is not the only path to success

Sean saw how many of his friends went to college just to get a degree. They weren't really excited about going to college, but they thought it was necessary. On the other hand, Sean knew he wasn’t ready to commit to something for the rest of his life. He didn’t want to get a degree just to get a degree.

At the age of nineteen, Sean created his own education by reading books like “Think and Grow Rich” and a whole arsenal of other works. That knowledge helped him realize he could create and achieve whatever he wanted to. He realized there were alternative ways of learning. Not going to college does not mean you won’t learn anything for the rest of your life, it means you’ll look for ways to learn on your own. This individualized experience can be much more effective depending on your style of learning and your self-accountability.

3) Conditioning

Your daily habits help you create a better future, and you can create those by conditioning your mind and body. Sean is an active person. He has worked out for 30 years! He doesn’t have to do too much to stay in shape because he has conditioned his body for all those years.

Sometimes people or places can limit you from being the best version of yourself. Breaking those limitations can help you to continue conditioning and growing yourself. Sean is a leader and he believes that he has to be the best person he can be for the people he is guiding and teaching.

How can I be the best person I need to be for the people I’m teaching?
