Learn How To Become A Better Decision Maker
Peter Linneman, CEO of Linneman Associates and a Real Estate Entrepreneur
When you surround yourself with amazing people, you’ll get amazing results. Meet Peter Linneman, a CEO and an Entrepreneur, and learn how he was able to build his own success.
Here’s the top 3 lessons you can learn from this episode:
Lesson #1: The Learning Process Takes Effort
You can learn things one of two ways; you can make mistakes and try to learn from them, or listen to the mistakes of others and try to avoid them. Either way, you learn and you grow in what you do.
One other way to help you with decision making is mentors. Mentors can help you build your perspective and help you consider others things you might not see. They will influence your thoughts and your decision making, and this is an advantage because most of the mentors might have experienced the things you are currently experiencing. That is why it is important to know your mentor first before choosing them to guide you.
Lesson #2: Responsibility is a Gift
Peter believes that responsibility is a gift. Some people don’t want responsibility but for Peter, being responsible is how he grew in wisdom and in skills. There are differences between willing a responsibility and being given a responsibility. There is more love and heart when it comes to taking initiative of a responsibility, because you willingly took it. That gives you strength to follow through on that responsibility. That is a gift when you have the desire to take initiative.
Lesson #3: Life is Not Linear
A lot of people think that life happens in a linear way, but you will never know what life has in store for you. If you are a person that will embrace every opportunity in life, then you will most likely experience different fields and aspects in life. This is how it was for Peter and David, but all of what happened to them was a stepping stone to what they have become today. Trust your path, and know that you will end up exactly where you are supposed to be, no matter how unexpected the way there may be.
