Are you getting the most out of your corporate job?

Having a corporate job doesn’t need to be an anchor holding you down. Often times, learning on the job, building connections and finding opportunity can be the perfect launching pad for breaking free. In this episode David will over his tips for how to maximize your potential while working in a corporate job.

1) Always Do Your Best

The bigger the corporation the more time you tend to waste. If you work 33% of your 8 hours in a corporation they will not fire you BUT they won’t promote you either. People who spend 50% of their time get promotions and if you work at 100% you will reach the director and VP levels.

It is your moral obligation to do the best of your ability. Learn the ways to push yourself and grow your opportunity within the company.

2) Start a Side Hustle BUT Be Transparent About It

Most companies will be okay with you having a side hustle as long as it doesn’t take your time or attention from your main job. In order to have such a privilege though, you need to prove yourself as trustworthy and a key component at your job.

Conclusion

If there is one thing you should take away from this, it is that, in the beginning you shouldn’t have to choose between your job and your side hustle. Find ways that your corporate job can enable your ability to be more successful in your own business.

All the lessons you learn in your corporate job will help you on your journey to running your own business.
